Eddie Coleman, CCIM
Founding Partner
Eddie is a graduate of East Carolina University’s School of Business. He began his Commercial Real Estate career in 1983. He holds both North and South Carolina Real Estate Licenses.
Eddie is Past President and Director of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (Raleigh, Durham, & Chapel Hill, NC) and is past President of the Wake County Apartment Association. He is past Chairman of The Independent Rental Owners Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Triangle Apartment Association.
Eddie Coleman was awarded the prestigious CCIM designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in 1988 and has served on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina CCIM chapter. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Capital Area Preservation (CAP), the Presidential Board of Advisors at Campbell University and is a member of the Business Advisory Council for the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business at Campbell University.
Eddie’s extensive knowledge of NC Cities, Exurban and County Seat Towns and current demographic and psychographic trends makes him an expert in identifying emerging markets, trade areas, and under-utilized properties. He has created millions of dollars in added value to numerous North Carolina retail, multi-family and boutique office properties.
Eddie’s primary focus areas are property investment identification, evaluation, improvement and repositioning planning and implementation. He also coordinates Investor and Lender Relations.
Eddie’s experience and proven track record makes him well suited to lead the creative process for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to add value to NC Capital Group properties.
Phil Neari, CPM
Founding Partner
Phil is a graduate of The University of Northern Colorado and a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas.
Phil is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
His many years of management experience have included his direct oversight of millions of square feet of retail property as well as the position of regional manager of over 10,000 apartment units.
Phil has been active in the commercial real estate and property management business for over 30 years in North Carolina. He holds the prestigious Certified Property Manager designation (CPM) awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Phil is actively involved in the identification, Due Diligence, Financial and Market Analysis, Strategic Redevelopment and Repositioning Planning, Leasing and Management for our investment properties.
Win Coleman, CCIM
Associate Partner
Win is a graduate of East Carolina University where he received his bachelor’s degree in finance. He holds both North Carolina and South Carolina Real Estate Licenses and was awarded the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2008.
Win served on the board of directors of The Triangle Apartment Association (TAA) where he co-chaired The Independent Rental Owner’s Council (IROC). He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR) and the Raleigh Kiwanis Club.
While a specialist in site identification, evaluation and acquisition for investors and businesses, he also has extensive experience in brokerage, leasing, property management and investment sales.
Win assists in managing The Coleman Group, LLC, which owns a portfolio of investment properties, and he is a member of our acquisitions committee. He has lifelong experience and love for historic properties including the one he restored and where he resides in Historic Oakwood in Downtown Raleigh.
Douglas Kline, PhD
Associate Partner
Doug is a graduate of Kent State University, earning a BS in Applied Mathematics, a Masters in Business Administration, and a PhD in Business majoring in Operations Research and minoring in Information Systems.
After positions in the software industry as SW Engineer, System Architect, and Project Manager, Doug enjoyed a successful career as a Professor of Information Systems, earning the rank of Full Professor, and being awarded an endowed position as Distinguished Professor of Information Systems. He worked for 21 years at UNC Wilmington, teaching mainly at the graduate level and serving as advisor for nearly 30 masters theses. He continued to consult in the software industry. His many applied and theoretical research articles in the fields of neural networks, data analytics, and information systems continue to be cited.
Doug began acquiring income real estate more than 20 years ago, building a personal portfolio of North Carolina based real estate assets. He holds a North Carolina broker’s license. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Triangle Real Estate Investors Association. A lifelong learner, he continues his education by attending meetings of the Society of Exchange Counselors and the National Counsel of Exchangors. He volunteers with the non-partisan North Carolina AARP.
At NC Capital Group, Doug has an emphasis on investment analysis andd oversees information systems, membership communication, and investor education. He enjoys international travel and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
