IDEXX Laboratories has announced plans to build a new $147 million manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina, creating 275 new jobs. This facility will focus on producing veterinary diagnostic products, further expanding IDEXX’s global footprint in pet healthcare innovation. The average compensation for the new positions is projected to be $65,873, which is higher than the current average wage in Wilson County.
The project will be supported by a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) from the state, estimated to grow North Carolina’s economy by $1 billion over 12 years. IDEXX’s decision to establish operations in Wilson highlights the region’s attractiveness for global industries, thanks to North Carolina’s focus on workforce development and strategic partnerships. The facility will not only enhance the local economy but also reinforce the state’s commitment to fostering innovative industries.

He was honored with research and teaching awards, served as Director of the MS Computer Science and Information Systems program, and was awarded the endowed position Distinguished Professor of Information Systems.
